Being today for a better tomorrow..

The title just have something to do with what happen today. I could say this is for the improvement of myself but actually, this might become role model to some people and what i’m going to write after this will be something that I will implement in the future.

Past 11am (17April2009) today, I went out to a shop to take my lunch. As I reach the shop, I do order my food and drinks. After the food arrive and I start eating, suddenly there is this one old man came to me.

This man looks so skinny & not tidy and in an instant I know he is a poor man. Then he show his left hand asking for something from me. But I did not really understand what he want as he did not talk properly (I guess he is unable to speak)and on the same time, I realize he was holding a book and few notes of RM1 on his right hand (I guess more than RM10).

Seeing that, came to my mind that he is a gambling addict. So I ignore him by showing him no. He repeat his action few times and when I say no everytime, he did stop and go to other table asking the same thing. Few times try with no success, at last he went out from the shop and I just looking from far.

Then came this thing to my mind, did he really a gambling addict? What if he not? Why didn’t I help him? Thinking that thing, then I got an idea. The idea is what could be used in the future and something that might avoid the person from misused the money;

When You meet with this kind of person in a eating place, you can call the shopkeeper and tell them to give the person food and you’ll pay for it. Also ask them never tell the person who paid the food. If you do this, you actually help them to feed their stomach. The food is just some normal food around RM4 to RM5 and it does not cost you so much. With that, you avoid the risk of them misuse the money.

So with that idea, I can get away the guilty feeling of not helping the person in need. Wouldn’t it be best like that, compare to seeing themselve move from one table to another table asking for money. As a human being who live in a simple life with some extra, it wouldn’t be a burden to treat them a little.

Life is like a tyre, today you are up there and maybe tomorrow you are down there. So start helping those who needs it. Even there is this phrase, ‘Don’t give them free fish but teach them how to catch the fish’, but when you are in the situation where you could not teach them catching fish, just give them some wouldn’t be so bad.

I start blogging in 2008 but I have never take blogging seriously. And that is the biggest mistakes that I make in my life. In 2010 I almost stop blogging completely. I concentrate on my low paying day job and was too tired to even look at my blog. But then I still keep my blog and websites up. After 7 years, I realize that I cannot only depends on my day job. I could not afford being in the rat race 9 to 5 work and also on unpaid on-call work. Then I realize something, if I never stop blogging in 2010, I will have lots of audience by now. It takes few years for me to realize this mistakes. And now here I am again, creating a good content for you. I hope you can subscribe to my mailing list and also like my Facebook page.
