Kelapa Bakar Sabah

It was a nice journey yesterday. Was a driver to my mom to Tuaran again.. Anyway what i want to write is about Kelapa Bakar Sabah.

As i drove my mom car from Tuaran back to KK i feel like stopping at the road side to try out the kelapa bakar (burnt coconut). Then i manage to stop here at the shop that you in the pictures.

They give a warm welcome (thanks for the welcome) and i ask them to cut for me 1 Kelapa Bakar and 1 normal coconut.

The taste of kelapa bakar was quite nice. Plus it was also quite cheap. For both Kelapa bakar and normal coconut i only pay RM4, cheap right.

So if you have a chance to sabah, don’t forget to go to Tuaran as on the road side you can see Kelapa bakar stall.

Or maybe you can ask the guide to send you to the place where kelapa bakar can be found. Maybe for some people it was quite dirty because as you can see from the picture above it was quite black and dark.

But as normal don’t judge a book by it’s cover. A kelapa bakar is something so bad looking but when you ask the person to cut it out for you it can become like above. The inside is always so good and so the taste wa very nice plus it has a nice aroma too. Same like drinking a hot coconut. So have a try.

Other than that, there is also coconut pudding. I did not try it but it think it taste good as normal coconut is also good.

If you come to sabah, contact me and i’ll give you direction. I cannot became a guide as i had a fixed schedule as a student..

Cheerss

I start blogging in 2008 but I have never take blogging seriously. And that is the biggest mistakes that I make in my life. In 2010 I almost stop blogging completely. I concentrate on my low paying day job and was too tired to even look at my blog. But then I still keep my blog and websites up. After 7 years, I realize that I cannot only depends on my day job. I could not afford being in the rat race 9 to 5 work and also on unpaid on-call work. Then I realize something, if I never stop blogging in 2010, I will have lots of audience by now. It takes few years for me to realize this mistakes. And now here I am again, creating a good content for you. I hope you can subscribe to my mailing list and also like my Facebook page.
